Scroll upgrades to Pre-Alpha testnet, the new testnet supports deploying smart contracts on Scroll
ChainCatcher news, the Layer 2 scaling solution Scroll based on zkEVM today announced the release of an upgraded version of its Pre-Alpha testnet. The new testnet upgrade supports the deployment of smart contracts on Scroll, allowing developers to deploy smart contract applications using tools such as Hardhat and Foundry. Since the zkEVM bytecode is compatible with the underlying Ethereum, Ethereum smart contracts will run natively on Scroll.
Users can bridge NFTs and user-defined ERC-20 tokens between Layer 1 and Layer 2 testnets through the upgraded cross-chain contracts. Currently, ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 standards are supported. (source link)
