Chain Catcher news, Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko recently released an update regarding the Ethereum core developer meeting: the consensus layer is expected to include ETH withdrawals from the Beacon Chain and the potential EIP-4844; on the execution layer, several EIPs are being considered for the Shanghai upgrade. The next Ethereum core developer meeting (AllCoreDevs) will be held on October 27, focusing on the planning for the Shanghai upgrade.
In addition, the Kiln testnet has recently been shut down, the Ropsten testnet will close in December 2022, and Rinkeby will continue until mid-2023, but will not be applied to any network upgrades after the London hard fork, including The Merge. Infrastructure and tool providers are now beginning to withdraw support for these networks and will need to migrate to the Goerli or Sepolia testnets. (Source link)
