According to ChainCatcher news, citing two informed sources, Apollo Global Management Inc and Sixth Street sought to provide financing for Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter earlier this year, but they are no longer in negotiations with Musk. Musk has stated that he would fund the deal with his own cash, co-investors, and bank financing.
It is reported that Musk first proposed to acquire Twitter for $44 billion in April 2022, but announced he would abandon the deal in July, and on October 4, he stated he planned to proceed with the acquisition at the original price. (Source link)
