Kazakhstan President: Considering Comprehensive Legal Recognition for Digital Assets

According to Chain Catcher news and reported by Bitcoin Magazine, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated at the international forum Digital Bridge 2022 that the first transaction using local currency to purchase cryptocurrency has been completed in a pilot project at the Astana International Financial Centre. If the pilot is successful, the country plans to become a leader in the digital asset ecosystem.

Tokayev concluded that if such financial instruments continue to demonstrate their market demand and security, Kazakhstan will grant them "full legal recognition." (Source link)
