Web3 game Pixelmon raises $70 million through NFT sales and unveils a new roadmap

Chain Catcher news, the Web3 game Pixelmon recently raised $70 million through the sale of NFTs. The team has now announced the establishment of a new leadership team and released a new roadmap, transforming the previous 2D version NFTs into 3D collectibles, and integrating them into the upcoming Pixelmon online game as well as other metaverse games.

According to the new roadmap, Pixelmon plans to launch the alpha testing version of the game by the end of 2022, with alpha testing starting in the first quarter of 2023, and the official release expected by the end of 2023. The Web3 venture studio LiquidX has previously acquired 60% of the Pixelmon project, and LiquidX co-founder Giulio Xiloyannis will serve as the CEO of Pixelmon. (Decrypt)
