According to Chain Catcher news and reported by Pocket Gamer, the new game studio Theorycraft Games has announced the completion of a $50 million Series B funding round, led by the blockchain gaming investment fund Makers Fund, with participation from NEA and a16z.
Theorycraft Games stated that it will use the funds to accelerate the development of its first game "Loki." It is currently unclear whether Loki will incorporate any crypto mechanisms, but the lead investor Makers Fund has previously invested in several Web3 gaming companies, including leading a $15 million seed round for MetaKing Studios, an $8.2 million funding for Trailblazers Games, and a $25 million funding for the metaverse game Gamefam.
