ChainCatcher news, the cross-chain interoperability protocol Nomad has released an update on the cross-chain bridge restart, which includes significant changes to the code, such as fixes for vulnerabilities, patches for the bridging GUI, and handling of reclaimed funds. The code will be released after the audit is completed.

Nomad states that bridging the reclaimed funds back to madAssets is not a simple process, and users will follow the steps below: 1. Bridge madAssets back to Ethereum to receive an NFT, which indicates the type and quantity of the bridged assets. 2. Use the NFT to grant access to a portion of that asset, which corresponds to the percentage of reclaimed assets.

In addition, only users added to the whitelist will be able to receive the reclaimed funds. The reclaimed funds will be accounted for in tokens, and tokens returned in different forms will be released. Nomad will work with blockchain forensic companies to determine which tokens are affected. (Source link)
