The brother of a former Coinbase product manager pleads guilty to insider trading charges
According to Chain Catcher news and Reuters, Nikhil Wahi, the brother of former Coinbase product manager Ishan Wahi, pleaded guilty to insider trading charges during a virtual court hearing in a U.S. district court, admitting that he traded based on Coinbase's confidential information. Nikhil Wahi and Ramani (a friend of Ishan Wahi, currently at large) executed at least 14 trades between June 2021 and April 2022, before Coinbase announced news, generating at least $1.5 million in profits.
Previously reported, in July, Ishan Wahi was charged with leaking information about Coinbase's listing to his brother and a friend, after which Ishan Wahi and his brother Nikhil Wahi were arrested in Seattle, Washington. (Reuters)
