August's bored ape buyers dropped to just 263, the lowest in 16 months
Chain Catcher news, throughout August, BAYC welcomed 263 independent buyers. This is the lowest number of new buyers since 2022 and the lowest point in 16 months.
In the past three months, the decrease in independent buyers has led to a continuous decline in sales. Statistics show a drop from 611 people in May 2022 to 424 in June, resulting in sales falling from $223 million, a 63% decrease to $82 million. The number of independent buyers further declined to 290 in July and 263 in August, causing sales in the past two months to drop below $60 million.
