Chain Catcher news, according to the latest report from the Big Four accounting firm KPMG, venture capital firms invested $14.2 billion in the crypto space through 725 deals in the first half of 2022.

The largest investments included the German crypto trading platform Trade Republic ($1.1 billion), digital asset custody platform Fireblocks ($550 million), cryptocurrency exchange FTX ($500 million), and Ethereum software company ConsenSys ($450 million). The investment figures for just the first half of 2022 are already more than double the total from all previous years before 2021, which "highlights the increasing maturity of the sector and the breadth of technology and solutions attracting investment."

However, KPMG predicts that investments may slow down for the remainder of the year. (Cointelegraph)
