The open-source software and community donation platform Gitcoin has ++launched++ its 13th round of funding activities, which will run from March 9 to March 23. Users can fund outstanding open-source software teams, communities, public goods components, and projects in the Ethereum ecosystem through this platform. Many third-party organizations will also match additional donations for users, providing more early or ongoing support for the blockchain and the broader open-source software industry.
Gitcoin has conducted 12 rounds of grants, providing a total of ++53.6 million dollars++ in funding for public goods. In this round of funding, the main round will provide 1.2 million dollars in matching funds (up from 1 million dollars in GR12) to support Ethereum public goods and projects, and at least 1.5 million dollars in matching funds will be provided in other ecosystems and categories, with specific allocations as follows:

- Projects with a positive impact on climate change: 465,000 dollars
- Open-source projects in the zk ecosystem: 275,000 dollars
- Projects built on the Polygon platform: 100,000 dollars

- Projects built using ENS DAO: 69,000 dollars
- OlympusDAO project construction: 50,000 dollars
- Algorand-based projects: 50,000 dollars
- Support for open-source projects in the Uniswap ecosystem: 50,000 dollars
- Support for open-source projects in the NFT ecosystem: 50,000 dollars
- Maintaining longevity in decentralized projects: 40,000 dollars
- Projects paid using Radicle Drips: 25,000 dollars
Additionally, Gitcoin will hold a ++GR13 Hackathon++ from March 9 to 30, where designers, project managers, developers, and others can participate in this hackathon event.
What is Gitcoin?
Gitcoin provides a platform for open-source projects of various sizes to seek funding and opportunities to receive funds. In each round of Gitcoin donation activities, in addition to the donations received by each project, Gitcoin also uses this as a reference to coordinate the fund allocation of the Ethereum Foundation to increase the investment opportunities for high-quality projects.
