Author: 0xHY
On March 2, Coinlist officially announced the 2022 Winter batch seed projects, with 7 projects selected from over 1000 startups, including the Web 3 native protocol signing and execution platform EthSign, the decentralized social investment platform Mesha, the Web3 development tool Exorde Labs, the P2E chess game Immortal Game, the digital payment project Paychant, the tokenized rewards protocol Smoothie, and the smart contract hosting platform t3rn.
CoinList Seed was first launched in 2020 as a platform for early cryptocurrency entrepreneurs to connect with the global CoinList community. Since the launch of CoinList Seed, it has funded over 50 cryptocurrency startups.
This article will provide a brief introduction to the 7 seed projects from the 2022 Winter batch.
EthSign: Decentralized Electronic Protocol Signing Application
Official website: https://ethsign.xyz/
Centralized electronic signature services used in past business scenarios have many pain points: users must verify signatures and retrieve signed agreements with the service provider's permission, agreements containing trade secrets are uploaded and stored in the cloud storage of internet giants, and if the electronic signature service provider goes bankrupt, the data on the server will inevitably be deleted.
EthSign aims to solve the pain points of traditional electronic signatures through blockchain technology, allowing users to sign documents and agreements with private keys generated through wallets or social media accounts. The digital signatures generated by the private keys are recorded on-chain, and the signed documents are encrypted and stored in a decentralized storage network to enhance privacy and security.
Exorde Labs: Web3 Data Mining Platform
Official website: https://exorde.network/
Exorde Labs from France aims to help scrape and link all public data on the web. To achieve this goal, Exorde Labs' core system adopts a two-layer architecture. The first layer is the working system, where participants will index the entire network according to community-established rules to extract its unstructured information, relationships, similarities, trends, and any type of patterns. The second layer is the data analysis system, which converts text into data vectors based on sentence encoders (or document encoders) NLP models, and then performs data analysis using algorithms such as data clustering, trend analysis, tagging, tracking, and partitioning, which are then added to the core neural network database for indexing and querying by Exorde contributors.
Immortal Game: P2E Chess Game
Official website: https://immortal.game/
Immortal Game establishes a dual-token system for the globally popular chess game, including the governance token IGE and the utility token GMT, and introduces NFTs. Immortal represents the chess pieces as NFTs, which can represent any piece such as pawns, knights, kings, etc. Each player must purchase at least one Immortal to start a game, but no more than four Immortals can be used in a single game. Immortals can move like normal pieces, but before each game starts, players can strategically place Immortals in selected positions. Winning the game and using NFTs can earn utility tokens GMT, and becoming the season winner can earn governance tokens IGE, which can be staked for rewards.
Mesha: Decentralized Social Investment Platform
Official website: https://www.mesha.club
Mesha allows users to create groups and add friends, and after injecting funds into their wallets, discuss which tokens and NFTs to purchase within the group, automatically making purchases after voting. Currently, Mesha has implemented quick NFT purchases on OpenSea, while the channels for purchasing cryptocurrencies are still under construction.
Paychant: Cryptocurrency Payment Tool Focused on Africa
Official website: https://paychant.com/
Paychant aims to help merchants in Africa with flexible and easy cryptocurrency payments. With just a few lines of code, they can integrate cryptocurrency payment methods into their websites and apps. Merchants can choose the types of cryptocurrencies they wish to accept, with current options including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and CUSD. Additionally, Paychant has developed a series of e-commerce plugins based on the payment tool, with plans to integrate with Shopify and others.
Smoothie: Tokenized Rewards Protocol
Official website: https://www.withsmoothie.com/
A tokenized rewards protocol that helps founders launch web3 projects. Currently, there is very little information about this project on the official website.
t3rn: Smart Contract Hosting Platform
Official website: https://www.t3rn.io/
Currently, smart contracts can only run within the blockchain they are deployed on, whether it is Ethereum, Polkadot, Cardano, or any other smart contract platform. The challenge of interoperable smart contracts lies in synchronizing two independent blockchains while ensuring that execution on both blockchains can be absolutely guaranteed. As a smart contract hosting platform, t3rn breaks down the execution of smart contracts into separate, composable steps, hosted on t3rn's circuit solution; smart contract data is separated from the smart contract and split during the execution steps. Developers can write smart contracts in languages they are familiar with, such as !ink, Solidity, WebAssembly, or any WASM-compatible language. Smart contracts stored in the t3rn registry can be used by anyone, and developers who contribute smart contracts to the open-source repository can choose to be rewarded when their code is executed.
