CyberHunter announced the game event and token issuance proposal, voting approved that each NFT can receive 5000 tokens
On September 16, the community-driven experimental NFT game CyberHunter was exclusively launched at noon on the Element platform, with a total of 6666 blind boxes priced at 0.066 ETH each. Immediately, CyberHunter founder York shared the story background and token issuance proposal of CyberHunter in the community.
Team Introduction
The CyberHunter team currently consists of 5 members, including domestic members such as York, the initiator of wallfaces, the early main designer of "Onmyoji," and the main planner of "Xuanyuan Emperor," along with two overseas colleagues responsible for technology and operations.
Story Background
In 2099, humanity has completely established a perfect metaverse space, but within it lies an unstable area known as the "Iteration Space." This space is filled with a large amount of redundant code from the past development of the metaverse. These codes gradually formed a dangerous cyberpunk-style space, inhabited by three factions, each with its own beliefs and competing against each other.
Three Major Factions
Force. Advocating technology and order, rational and indifferent, with a strong hierarchy and elite culture, they have unified engineers producing advanced equipment. Their ancestors were among the first Mars colonists.
Beast. They are thorough libertarians, following the wolf pack principle, organized in tribes, naturally keen hunters with strong practical skills, able to use all redundant codes to DIY durable and cheap equipment. Their ancestors are untraceable and may have been some hackers.
Embers. Before the Iteration Space was filled with redundant code, it was a barren area in the metaverse, and they are the indigenous people here. Like every indigenous group in a new world, they have their own beliefs and primitive rituals, and they are quite skilled in hunting. Initially, they were invaded by the other two factions and suffered defeats, but now they seem to have found strength to resist their enemies from the gods of their beliefs.
NFT Interpretation
CyberHunter NFTs have attribute entries and combat power values. The text area on the left is similar to the equipment entries in Loot, corresponding to the character's equipment. The specific rarity of the equipment is intended to be explored by users, and the equipment names are all in English, using a fun font similar to Semitic script. The upper left corner of the CyberHunter NFT allows users to intuitively compare combat power values, which is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the equipment. This combat power value will play a role in game events, and the official website will update the combat power comparison in real-time.
CyberHunter founder York stated: We appreciate the blank space format of Loot, but there is no need to repeat the path that Loot has already taken. Therefore, we started exploring how to sustain a highly open game format with significant blank space from the beginning.
Gameplay
CyberHunter is inspired by some pioneers like Loot and Axie, insisting that the economic model of Gamefi and scalable game mechanics are equally important. CyberHunter applies a P2E model to provide players with a brand new economic incentive model. In the derivative gameplay of CyberHunter, earning coins has no high threshold; players who own CyberHunter NFTs have the right to participate and complete monster-hunting tasks together. CyberHunter founder York stated that they will continue to provide development support for game events and rewards, as well as community guidance, until the community can operate independently.
In the first game event, CyberHunter created a monster as a tribute to Loot. The general setting is that the monster is formed from the gathering of Loot in the future metaverse space, and all NFT holders can choose a faction through community voting to obtain the monster's loot. Players who own NFTs can choose any faction within two weeks, and the NFT holders of the winning faction will receive the most rewards.
CyberHunter will use timed snapshots to determine the voting numbers to prevent any exploitation, and only NFT holders can participate in voting and gameplay.
Token Proposal
CyberHunter will release a proposal for in-game tokens, currently planning to limit the total amount of tokens, with the specific quantity and token name to be decided by community voting. The current proposal offers two names for voting: CHG (CyberHunter Gold) and CHC (CyberHunter Chip).
Tokens will be claimed by participants of the first game event, sharing a total of 13.332 million tokens, with the first place faction receiving 60%, the second place 30%, and the third place 10%. Subsequently, each time a game event is triggered, the reward tokens will be 30% of the remaining total token amount.
It is worth mentioning that the voting has already passed, and the token name is CHG, with a total of 88.88 million. Token claims will start after all NFTs are sold out. Each NFT holder will receive 5000 CHG. The number of NFTs held by each address will determine the amount of tokens that can be claimed. CyberHunter will take a snapshot of all addresses holding NFTs at 22:00 Beijing time on September 17. Each NFT will receive 5000 tokens based on the snapshot address for claiming.
Overall, CyberHunter does not want to solve problems through more complex on-chain actions but aims to bring fresh experiences to players through practical mechanisms and realize group on-chain benefits. In the future, tokens can be used for more NFT content and gameplay upgrades in the project, including weapon packs, phantom beast systems, etc., and can also serve as value investments.
