On August 27, IM Motors, jointly created by SAIC Group, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, and Alibaba, announced that the "User Data Rights Plan" is officially named "Raw Stone Valley" and has officially entered the operational phase.
According to the official introduction, "Raw Stone" is the proof of rights for data contributions made by IM Motors vehicle owners, with a total issuance fixed at 300 million pieces, representing IM Motors' confirmation of the value of data contributions authorized by users and feedback.
In March of this year, IM Motors first revealed the core operational link of the user rights platform CSOP, planning to allocate 4.9% of the equity returns from the founding round investment of 10 billion as endorsement, issuing 300 million digital assets "Raw Stone," reflecting the asset returns and dividends corresponding to that portion of equity, using a series of cutting-edge technologies including blockchain to reward users in the form of data rights.
However, in the recent official materials released, concepts such as "digital assets" and "equity mapping" did not appear, and the specific issuance method of Raw Stone was not disclosed, only stating that "Raw Stone" will correspond to the growth rights of IM Motors' founding value.
At the same time, information from the IM Motors APP indicates that for all data generation, exchange, and recording processes, IM Motors will use self-developed technology to generate smart contracts, ensuring fairness and justice in user data contribution rights.
IM Motors stated that users become the core creators of the enterprise value chain, and user data becomes the driving force for enterprise and brand development. Based on the interpretation of the logic of the times, IM Motors takes the lead in rewarding the contributions of user data, thus launching the user data rights plan.
"Raw Stone Valley constructs the value confirmation system of user data and the community order of future forms for the first time. IM Motors users will gather here, explore raw stones, accumulate points, upgrade equipment, and evolve vehicles. Raw Stone Valley continuously converges user data, creates data value, allowing users to reap real data rights and build a value community and spiritual home for IM Motors users," IM Motors stated.
It is reported that IM Motors users will obtain "Raw Stone" through two main methods: "Mileage Mining" and "Cultivation Mining," with the former and latter accounting for 70% and 30% respectively, where the former is similar to the mining concept in cryptocurrency.
In the rules of "Mileage Mining," the number of Raw Stones issued is halved every four years. Raw Stones drop in batches every 10 minutes, with 500 pieces dropped in each batch during the first four years of issuance, totaling 144 drops per day. Every kilometer driven contributes to the data pool participating in mileage mining. The more kilometers users drive, the more data they contribute, and thus the more data rights and Raw Stones they earn.
In the rules of "Cultivation Mining," vehicle owner users who join Raw Stone Valley can enter the IM Motors APP [Raw Stone Valley] section to participate in ways such as "IM Blind Box," joining virtual camps, and sharing content to obtain "Raw Stone."
In terms of rights, the application scenarios for "Raw Stone" include but are not limited to redeeming physical goods, gifts, offline services, etc. The official has stated that it can be used to exchange for various hardware or software over-the-air upgrade services, such as IM Motors' "Angel Round Users" who, after vehicle delivery, drive normally over 5,000 kilometers each year, can choose to redeem the next-generation laser radar integrated intelligent driving system with the Raw Stones they earn; or upgrade to a next-generation high-end energy battery with no less than 120 degrees of electricity after three years of normal driving.
At the same time, for vehicle owners who purchase "IM" brand cars, the Raw Stones will be in an "inactive" state for one year and cannot be used or redeemed. After one year of purchasing an "IM" brand car, the Raw Stones will be automatically activated.
